Thinking Spring! A Minty Treat For Your Special Pup

A Minty Treat recipe For Your Special Pup

With spring on the way, we couldn’t help but get excited about using some in-season ingredients in our dog’s goodies. The Daily Bark blog provided inspiration with one herb we sometimes neglect: mint. Read on for an easy treat idea that helps battle any problems with doggy breath!

Ingredients:

  • unsalted soup or oyster crackers
  • fresh mint leaves
  • water, room temperature

Instructions:

Crush crackers and place in one dish. Finely chop the mint and place in another dish. You are looking for a ratio of about one part mint to three or four parts cracker but please experiment! Combine the cracker and mint then add enough water to have the ingredients stick; form into 1/4-inch balls. Place the balls onto wax paper and store in freezer. Once firm, the treats are ready for your pet to enjoy!
