Julito is a 6-month-old puppy who was born on the streets of Puerto Rico and happened to be hit by a car in front of a veterinary office! He was rescued then came to the Monmouth County SPCA to find his forever home. We have no idea what breed(s) Julito is. He may have some German Shepherd genes, but it does not seem that he will be that large. Right now he weighs about 25 pounds and will most likely gain a few more over the next few months.
Julito is shy with people, but he loves dogs and enjoys playing with them. He is in a foster home right now where he is learning to trust people, and he is improving every day! Now he will come up to strangers to check them out with his tail wagging. He’s been meeting lots of new people and making strives every day.
In his foster home, Julito sleeps in bed with the humans and dogs, and he enjoys being petted and cuddled. He is also excelling in his potty training!
Julito thrives in the company of other dogs and he learns by taking their lead. For this reason we are looking to find a forever home for him that has at least one other dog in the family, as we know it will put him at ease and guide him in becoming a confident dog.
Julito enjoys going for walks with the other dogs, and he especially loves long walks on the beach.
