Player and Watcher came to the Monmouth County SPCA after being found under a picnic table. They are 5-month old sweethearts! Player was born with paralysis of his hind legs. Thanks to an extremely generous outpouring of support, over $3,000 was raised for a life-saving procedure that removed a cyst on Player’s spine. Dr. Glass at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital performed this surgery, which both alleviated pressure on Player’s spine, and prevented the cyst from later rupturing and causing further infection. Player’s lower body
will always be paralyzed, and when he is fully grown, he will be outfitted with a wheeled cart. Watcher is a wonderful big brother and keeps an eye on Player to make sure he is safe and happy at all times. The boys love each other and are looking for a forever home together.
